CEO of Mazda Motor Corporation, Takashi Yamanouchi, said today, his company considering introducing a plug-in hybrid cars and electric cars. The plan came after a car company based in Hiroshima is launching a hybrid model that uses a gasoline engine and electric motor in 2013.

Explained, Mazda tempted to follow the success of Nissan’s electric car manufacturing. Moreover, two of Japan’s major manufacturers of other woods, Toyota and Honda has also announced to produce electric cars in 2012. While hybrid cars are made of Mazda technology purchased from Toyota.

Mazda also plans to increase annual production to 1.05 million units per year until the end of March 2016. Mazda currently produces 900,000 units per year. Therefore, exports will also be increased from 80 percent to 85 percent. Added, although the current value of the yen continued to strengthen, to suppress the price, Mazda will performs production efficiency.
